Shake Rag Alley will host a Spring Garage Sale Friday and Saturday, April 11 & 12. The annual sale runs in conjunction with Mineral Point City-wide Sales Friday from 7:30 to 5:00 and Saturday from 7:30 to 2:00. If you’d like to volunteer for set up and staffing during the sale, contact the office at 608- 987-3292. Volunteers earn 15% off workshop tuition after just 10 hours. Shake Rag Alley is a nonprofit school of arts and crafts.
W.H. Bennett Woman’s Relief Corp Bake sale will be held at the Richland County Bank lobby Friday, April 11, from 9:00 until sold out.
Break bread with community members at a free community meal each Friday at 5:30 at the Other Door in Viroqua, Vernon County’s Drop In Center.
Saturday, April 12
Large Item Pickup will be held in Richland Center on Saturday, April 12. Items included: couches, chairs, tables, carpeting, entertainment centers and such. This pickup does not include: lumber or construction materials, brush, leaves, yard waste, microwaves, tv’s, air conditioners, appliance, or computer equipment. Please have items to the curb by 6:00 AM.
Cassville will be the site of the 2025 Rivers Division tournament kick-off for the AIM Weekend Walleye Series Saturday, April 12, beginning at 7:00 AM at the Cassville Public Launch and Lion’s Pavillion.
The Baraboo Children’s Museum will have free admission for all guests Saturday, April 12, from 9:00 to noon, thanks to a sponsorship from Edvest 529. During that time, children can visit activity tables to learn about saving, spending, and planning for the future. They’ll have the opportunity to collect “coins” at each table and exchange them for a prize.
The Fancy Creek Cemetery annual meeting will be held Saturday, April 12, at 10:00 in the new Town Hall Building in Gillingham. The public is welcome.
There will be a showing of the documentary film “Closure: The Dismantling of Wisconsin’s Colleges” at the Brewer Public Library Saturday, April 12, at 10:00. This approximately 90-minute film documents the closure of two-year college campuses in Wisconsin. The film’s director, professor Ken Brosky will be onsite for discussion following the film.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church Mornings With Mommy program will host Easter specific fun Saturday, April 12, from 10:00 to Noon for children up to seven years of age. There will be Storytime, Crafts, Music, an Easter Egg Hunt, a Miniature Petting Zoo by Tiny Acres Farm and learning what Easter is all about.
Wisconsin Singers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison will take the stage at River Valley High School Saturday, April 12, at 7:00. The event will open with performances from the River Valley High School Choir and features RVHS Choir alum Nicholas Daniel. Wisconsin Singers is also choreographed by RVHS alum Michael Stanek.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for RV Students or Seniors. Tickets are available in advance at bit.ly/3EJ174i or at the door.
Agrace, a nonprofit community hospice serving Iowa, Grant and Lafayette counties, is seeking local volunteers. Volunteers are needed to make companionship visits to local hospice patients. No health care experience is needed. Schedules are flexible, and free online training is provided. The Highland Area Historical Society will host bingo Sunday, April 13, at 1:00 at the old Highland High School.
A Sunday Funday Square Dance will be held Sunday, April 13, from 1:00 until 4:00 at the Richland Center Community Center.
The Riverdale Community Band will present a concert Sunday, April 13, at 1:30 in the Riverdale High School Gym. There is no admission charge.
The Richland Concert Association will host violinist, Kangwon Kim, Sunday, April 13, at 2:00 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and free for students.
